Project Overview

McKenzie Watershed Council works to foster stewardship of the McKenzie River watershed resources, deal with issues in advance of resource degradation, and ensure sustainable watershed health, function, and use. They also support multiple restoration projects, and provide environmental education centered on salmon ecology.

Their previous online presence consisted of two connected websites, which made navigation and content management complex. The goal of the redesign was to consolidate both sites into one cohesive platform with a cleaner layout, improved structure, and more intuitive navigation.

Website Design (part of collaborative team)

The New Design

  • Unifies content into a single organized site
  • Clarifies pathways to volunteer opportunities
  • Provides easier signups for environmental field trips
  • Presents restoration and education resources more clearly
  • Updates the overall visual presentation with a modern, streamlined look

The updated design gives the website a clean, more modern look and offers visitors clearer navigation throughout the site so that they can find information they’re looking for, and sign up for volunteer opportunities or for their students to attend environmental field trips.

The result is a more accessible and user-friendly website that better supports the organization’s mission and community engagement efforts.
