Project Overview
I first worked with CRPD in July 2014, designing the visual interface for their program, facility, parks, and class search pages while collaborating with 9 Planets Design developer Paul Middleton who programmed a custom database and corresponding search engine. In June 2019, I returned to help with a full website overhaul — redesigning for clearer content and navigation, and converting the site to WordPress so staff could easily update and maintain it.
My Role
Website Design (part of collaborative team)
Designing for Clarity and Usability
The site features multi-page layouts with intuitive navigation, visually structured program and class pages, and clear forms with error handling. Visitors can easily find information, explore available programs, sign up for classes, and engage with community offerings without feeling overwhelmed.
Impact and Highlights
- Strengthened a long-term partnership with CRPD
- Improved user experience across thousands of pages
- Paved the way for the COSCA website, also designed by me
Note: This website was originally designed and maintained in WordPress as a contractor for 9 Planets Design. The current site has since been migrated to a new platform; however, the screenshots below reflect examples of the design and structure I created and implemented during my time working on the project.
