Development-focused bilingual website for a home childcare program
A welcoming website in English and Spanish designed to clearly communicate the program’s structure, age groups, enrollment options and early childhood development focus.
Project Overview
Lia Home Daycare provides personalized care for children ages 3 months to 12 years, including families supported through DHS and the Rhode Island Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP). The program emphasizes early stimulation, emotional well-being, language and motor development, nutrition, rest, and ongoing communication with parents.
Because the client had limited written content, the project required a discovery process to understand the daycare’s philosophy, daily routines, and developmental approach. This allowed me to craft clear, expressive website copy that accurately reflects the program.
My Role
Website Design and SEO (contractor)
Discovery & Content Development
To build a strong foundation for the site, I asked detailed questions about the daycare’s structure, values, and daily care practices. This process helped shape organized, informative content that clearly communicates the program’s focus.
Developmental Program Structure
The final design presents clearly defined age groups and focus areas:
- Infants (3–12 months) – Childcare basics, babbling, sensory development, early motor skills, sleep and nutrition monitoring.
- Babies (1–2 years) – Language and motor development, early dietary checks, and monitoring of normal growth and development.
- Toddlers (2–4 years) – Speech development, attention skills, emotional behavior, early learning, and social interaction.
- Children (5–12 years) – Academic readiness, confidence development, communication skills, play, and cooperative interaction.
Family Communication & Support
The website also highlights:
- Information about DHS and CCAP assistance programs
- Open communication values and family partnership
- Clear enrollment guidance
Bilingual Accessibility
The entire site is available in English and Spanish, ensuring families can access program information in the language that works best for them.
The site launched successfully with full bilingual support and now provides a structured, welcoming online presence that helps families understand the daycare’s developmental approach and feel confident in their enrollment decisions.
